English Speaking Union: Talk the talk: express yourself with confidence

This workshop is all about oracy – speaking and listening – skills, relevant to the next generation of creative, social, tech and entrepreneurial careers. Expert ESU trainers will lead activities to develop argumentation, active listening and expression.

The Worshipful Company of Grocers

Education is of long-standing importance to the Grocers’ Company. Grants are awarded to a variety of schools and educational establishments to fund bursaries, capital projects and training initiatives. The intention is to promote participation, drive attainment and encourage retention among talented students who need financial support. Increasingly our Members act as school governors, participate in student mentorship events and provide work placement opportunities

The English-Speaking Union

The English-Speaking Union believes every child should be able to make their voice heard. We work with teachers to build sustainable cultures of oracy – speaking and listening – skills and cross-cultural understanding so that all young people, regardless of their background, can make their voices heard.
