This interactive workshop will provide students with a basic understanding about the different career pathways within financial services, in addition to the expectations employers have of new recruits within the industry. The session will provide details about an opportunity to participate in an education programme which will provide a potential career pathway in investment management. It will also explore why trust is so important for those working in the profession and their clients. Students will work together to analyse ethical dilemmas and determine the choices they would make if they were put in a given scenario as an employee or manager. At the end of the session, students will have:
– A basic understanding of the different areas of financial services that may present a future career option.
– An understanding of why trust is critical to financial services as an industry.
– A methodology to judge whether their behaviour and actions are ethical and have integrity.
This is particularly aimed at pupils who are aged between 16-19.
